Frequently asked questions
Why should I submit a proposal?
Submitting a proposal is a chance to showcase your expertise and share practical solutions with the Jamf and Apple admin community. Your talk will reach beyond the live meetup, with recordings published on YouTube and the LaunchPad podcast for lasting visibility.
Speaking also boosts your professional profile and helps you connect with peers—and our team can provide coaching to make sure you shine.
What we are looking for?
We’re looking for sessions that share real-world solutions, creative workflows, and lessons learned in Jamf and Apple IT. The best talks are practical, demo-focused, and leave the audience with tips or resources they can put to use right away, Topics can include but not limited to:
Jamf workflows & automation
New Jamf Tools
macOS/iOS deployment strategies
Security & compliance
Integrations & APIs
User experience wins
Career & community lessons
How do I submit a proposal?
Submitting a session is quick and straightforward. Start with a working title and a short 2–3 sentence description of what you’ll cover. Add 3–5 key takeaways for the audience, choose whether your talk is Intro, Intermediate, or Advanced, and include your name, role, and contact info. Once you hit submit, our team will review your proposal and get back to you with next steps.

SPEAKING & PRESENTATION TIPS
Engage with Confidence
Getting ready for your LaunchPad session? Here’s a quick guide to help your presentation flow smoothly and keep the audience engaged.
LaunchPad is a relaxed, community-driven space. You don’t need to be perfect — just share what you’ve learned, be authentic, and enjoy the ride. 🚀
PRESENTER QUICK TIPS:
✅ LinkedInOpen with a short story, question, or challenge to grab attention.
✅ Keep it conversational. Talk like you’re explaining something to a colleague — not reading a script.
✅ Slow down. Pausing helps your points land and gives the audience time to absorb them.
✅ Smile and look at the camera. It helps you connect naturally with viewers.
✅ Stay flexible. Glitches happen — we record everything and can edit later.
✅ End with a takeaway. Leave attendees with one clear idea or action they can try.
PRE-EVENT REHEARSAL
Soundcheck & Setup
We’ll schedule a short rehearsal, typically the day before your session at noon (Mountain Time).
This 15–20 minute check-in helps ensure everything runs perfectly on event day. The goal is to make you feel confident and ready — no surprises, just a smooth and enjoyable experience for you and the audience.
DURING THIS TIME, WE'LL:
✅ Collect your slideshow file and any additional resources you'd like us to include in the LaunchPad blog post. We will share this at the beginning of the meetup.
✅ Test your microphone and camera quality
✅ Confirm your lighting and framing look great on Zoom
✅ Make sure your slides or demo display correctly
✅ Walk through the event flow and timing
✅ Answer any last-minute questions you might have.

DURING THE MEETUP
Your Moment to Shine
Once the meetup begins, our team will handle introductions, timing, and transitions so you can focus on sharing your story with confidence.
LaunchPad sessions are relaxed, supportive, and fun — think of it as chatting with peers who truly get what you do.
TIPS FOR SMOOTH SESSION
✅ Keep your camera on at all times.
✅ Use a stationary (non-swivel) chair.
It’s easy to sway or spin without noticing, but even small movements can distract viewers and make video editing tricky later.
✅ Remember to breathe!
Pausing briefly between sections helps your audience absorb what you’re saying.
✅ Keep water nearby. Drink as needed.
✅ Silence all device notifications before you start.
✅ All sessions are recorded, so if something unexpected happens (audio glitch, restart, etc.), don’t worry — we can edit around it.
AFTER THE MEETUP
Keep the Momentum Going
Congratulations! You did it! But your talk doesn’t end when the session wraps — it becomes part of the LaunchPad community!
Your presentation will be featured in:
✅ YouTube: your keynote segment
